Have you ever noticed how melodical the sound of the forest is in summer? And how interesting it is in autumn and winter? And how delightful is it in spring when nature is awaking? The rustle of leaves with the slightest breeze, the creaking of trunks of centuries-old trees, the rustling of leaves underfoot… And how many various tones can you hear in the singing of birds?
This project on the forest land, developed by our company, we called Melody. Firstly, because there are large trees on the site and we decided to preserve a piece of forest, with the existing ground cover, blueberries, mushrooms, existing trees, and consequently all the possible tones of rustling leaves and birdsong. And secondly, the site is on a slope, with a ravine bordering the site, and all the space surrounding the house is arranged on a complex relief. As if by notes we are going up and down the stairs. Distinctive step of the stairs and step plates in the paths set the rhythm, insolation mode of the site sets a major solar or minor shady motif of our Melody.
Design and architecture are integrated into nature, they just decorate, emphasize and complement the natural beauty. Authenticity, personality and character come to the forefront in this landscape. Natural forest cover and imitation of forest cover by shade-growing perennials, large boulders covered with moss, exceptionally green varieties of foliage and needles colour, open forest edges with lawn, locally used methods of phytoplastics in planting arrays, all architectural small forms (benches, swings, children’s play complex) developed from natural wood – all this is so natural and harmonious in a forest area.
